The Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) is a collaborative program aimed at strengthening the relationship between law enforcement, mental health professionals, advocates, and individuals experiencing mental health issues. Since joining the CIT committee in 2019, Detective Teders has been actively involved in working with mental health professionals and supporting individuals with mental illness, as well as their families, across West Jefferson and Madison County. Detective Teders’ leadership and advocacy have played a pivotal role in transforming the way the community responds to mental health emergencies. Her ongoing commitment to fostering partnerships and improving mental health outcomes in her community is recognized and deeply appreciated. During an award ceremony in Clark County, Detective Teders was honored in the presence of Chief Smith and Lieutenant Conley, who expressed their pride in her accomplishments.
