West Jefferson Police Department Connects with Community at Annual Easter Egg Hunt

​The West Jefferson Police Department joined in the springtime fun this past weekend as Officer Day proudly represented the agency at the annual West Jefferson Easter Egg Hunt. With more than 12,000 colorful eggs scattered across the grounds, the event brought together families and children for a joyful celebration.

While the event was filled with excitement, games, and laughter, the department emphasized the deeper value of community engagement. Participating in family-friendly events like this allows officers to build strong, trusting relationships with the community—especially its youngest members.

“Maintaining public safety is always our top priority,” the department shared, “but creating positive connections with the next generation is just as important.”

The West Jefferson Police Department extended its thanks to all the organizers, volunteers, and families who helped make the event a success and noted they’re already looking forward to next year’s celebration.
