The Village of West Jefferson will be conducting hydrant flushing throughout the community starting Monday, October 28. The flushing process will take place daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is expected to continue throughout the week.
Residents may notice some discoloration in their tap water during this time. This is normal and should clear up quickly. If you experience discoloration, it is recommended to run your largest tap (such as a bathtub or utility sink) for a minute or two until the water runs clear. Additionally, there may be a temporary drop in water pressure, but this should only last for a few minutes. Hydrant flushing is an important maintenance task that helps ensure the water system remains clean and efficient. The Village of West Jefferson appreciates residents’ understanding and cooperation during this process. For more information or concerns, residents are encouraged to contact the Village office.
