Rocking Horse Community Health Center’s Mackenzie Engle Named OSU Preceptor of the Year

​Rocking Horse Community Health Center is proud to celebrate one of its own--Nurse Practitioner Mackenzie “Kenzie” Engle—who has been honored as Preceptor of the Year by The Ohio State University.

The recognition comes as part of OSU’s annual acknowledgment of outstanding clinical educators who mentor and guide future healthcare professionals. Kenzie was

nominated by a student who praised her for being approachable, knowledgeable, and a strong supporter of hands-on learning.

Under Kenzie’s supervision, the student gained confidence in diagnosing patients, developing treatment plans, and navigating real-world patient care. The student credited Kenzie’s constructive feedback and encouragement as pivotal to their professional growth.
