The H.E.L.P. House needs your help.
H.E.L.P. House board members are reaching out to community leaders, property owners, and citizens to help them find a new home so that they can continue to support and care for senior citizens, homeless individuals and families, and children.
Volunteers at the H.E.L.P. House just completed two record-breaking months, providing more than 750 families and 2,400 individuals with food in November. During the organization's annual Thanksgiving Outreach event, H.E.L.P. House donors and volunteers provided area individuals and families in need with more than 4,000 Thanksgiving food items, including turkey, fresh vegetables, potatoes, eggs, and butter. In December, H.E.L.P. House partnered with the Nazarene Church in London to purchase holiday gifts for 68 families and 180 children. At the Little Lambs Christmas Outreach, the H.E.L.P. House provided more than 65 families and 179 children with new and gently-used gifts. The organization’s current location has 5,500 square feet of space with room for a food pantry, clothing area, office, warehouse, and kitchen space, as well as a bathroom and laundry area. Access to a loading dock and parking lot are also on the list of “must-haves” for the new location, as well as heating, air conditioning, and a 220-volt electric hookup. Local businesses and rental property owners are encouraged to contact Liz Finchum (614) 949-1366, Todd Boyd (614) 313-8573, or Alexander Homer (419) 708-1568 with information about potential rental options. As H.E.L.P. House volunteers begin preparing to move, donations of clothing, toys, and household items will not be accepted in January, February, and March. However, monetary donations to support the purchase of perishable and non-perishable food items for the choice food pantry, weekly soup kitchen, and outreach projects are still needed and much appreciated. The H.E.L.P. House receives financial support from a United Way grant as well as donations from area churches, service organizations, local businesses, and individuals. Please help us continue to help and serve others. Bridges Community Action to Host Homeless Outreach Event During Annual Point-in-Time Count1/16/2026

Members of the London FFA Chapter recently joined students from across Ohio at the State FFA Leadership Night on November 13, an event designed to strengthen communication, teamwork, and leadership skills among emerging student leaders.
Hosted at Big Walnut High School, the evening featured hands-on workshops led by Ohio FFA state officers. London FFA members participated in a variety of activities, including planning a meal using only a grocery list and tackling trust-based team challenges that required clear communication and collaboration. |
