Route 42 from SR 29, continue northbound through the village, then turn east on SR 161 to U.S. Route 33. Residents are encouraged to line the sidewalks along the route, wave their Thin Blue Line flags, and help create a powerful display of unity and appreciation.
The Light Ohio Blue campaign, organized annually in connection with National Police Week (May 11–17, 2025), encourages Ohioans to change their home exterior lights to blue for the month of May. It’s a visual way to honor officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and to express gratitude to those who continue to protect and serve communities across the state. “We always enjoy a tremendous amount of support from our community,” the Plain City Police Department shared. “National Police Week is an important time to remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.” The caravan is part of a larger route leading to Columbus and is one of many events taking place across the state in recognition of National Police Week.
