Plain City Launches Holiday Lights Recycling Program

Plain City, OH — The Village of Plain City is making it easier than ever to be environmentally conscious this holiday season with the launch of its Holiday Lights Recycling Program. Residents are encouraged to recycle their old, broken, or unwanted holiday lights through this convenient and cost-free initiative.

How It Works:

• Drop-Off Location: Specially marked recycling containers have been set up at the Municipal Building, 800 Village Boulevard.
• Accepted Items: Only holiday lights and light strands will be accepted for recycling. Items such as inflatables, plastic blow molds, or wire frame displays will not be processed.
• Preparation: To streamline the recycling process, residents are asked to place lights directly into the designated bins without additional packaging, boxes, or containers.

Collection Period:
The program runs through January 17, 2025, giving residents ample time to dispose of their unwanted lights after the holiday season.
