Plain City Launches Free Kids Pickleball Club at Pastime Park

Pickleball is gaining popularity across the country, and now kids in Plain City have a chance to join in on the fun. A new Plain City Kids Pickleball Club has launched this summer, offering a free and friendly way for children ages 8–12 to learn the game, get active, and build friendships.

The club meets every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Pastime Park Pickleball Courts and runs from June 12 through August 14. Please note, there will be no club meetings on July 3 or July 17.

Organized by a local resident and supported by Plain City Parks and

Recreation, the club welcomes both beginners and returning players. Kids are encouraged to bring their own paddle, a pickleball, and plenty of enthusiasm.

While the event is free to attend, there is an important safety reminder: this is a community meet-up and not a drop-off program. Parents or guardians must stay on-site to supervise their children during each session.

This grassroots effort aims to foster a love of pickleball among youth while promoting community bonding and physical activity.
