This Wednesday, October 9, 2024, students in Plain City are encouraged to lace up their shoes, hop on their bikes, or roll to school as part of National Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day. This nationwide initiative promotes physical activity and environmentally friendly transportation options, while also highlighting the importance of walkability and connectivity in local communities.
The Village of Plain City, in partnership with Plain City Elementary School and the Jonathan Alder Local School District, is excited to take part in this event, which encourages students to make healthier transportation choices. Walking, biking, or rolling to school helps students stay active and reduces the reliance on buses and car drop-offs, benefiting both the environment and students’ health. In addition to promoting these benefits, the event will help Plain City continue its efforts to improve walkability and connectivity by identifying areas that need infrastructure improvements for safer walking and biking routes. Parents, students, and community members can learn more about the initiative by visiting the official National Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day website at www.walkbiketoschool.org. Join the movement this Wednesday, October 9 and help make your walk, bike, or roll to school a fun and healthy habit! Not receiving our content regularly?
