Throughout October, North Valley Bank took action to support hurricane relief efforts by serving as a donation hub for much-needed supplies. With the help of generous staff, customers, and volunteers, the bank collected a wide array of essential items to assist communities in North Carolina and Tennessee impacted by this fall’s devastating hurricane.
The relief drive, spearheaded by NVB’s Laurie Wilkins, was a heartfelt team and community effort. Items donated ranged from cat supplies to work gloves, flashlights to rakes, tarps to chainsaws—everything needed to assist cleanup and recovery efforts. The collected goods were transported by Charlie Rehart and Julie Mount-Rehart, who not only delivered the items but also participated in multiple trips to assist with cleanup and feed volunteers working on the ground. The effort was a true family and community affair. Laurie’s sons, Garrett and Richie, along with her husband, Shawn Wilkins, played an essential role in organizing and gathering the supplies. Thanks to everyone’s contributions, the group was able to nearly fill a box truck with relief materials, which were delivered to the affected regions. This incredible effort reflects North Valley Bank’s commitment to Building Better Communities, showcasing the power of collaboration and kindness. A heartfelt thanks goes out to all who participated in the drive, proving once again the strength of community in times of need. Together, the North Valley Bank family has made a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by this disaster. Thank you for your generosity and unwavering support!
