Drake was appointed State of Ohio CISO in February 2023 and manages the Office of Information Security and Privacy within DAS. The office partners with State of Ohio agencies to secure the state’s assets and protect citizen information by managing information security governance, privacy direction, awareness resources, and incident response. During her accomplished career in information governance and oversight, she has been crucial in driving the development of privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance initiatives. Her previous experience includes cybersecurity leadership roles at The Ohio State University, State Auto Insurance, and Nationwide Insurance, where she led multiple cybersecurity governance teams responsible for policy, cybersecurity control framework, risk assessment, disaster recovery, and data governance.
