The Mount Sterling Community Center is excited to announce the kickoff of its 11th Annual "Cans for a Cause" Challenge, an important food drive to help stock the center’s food pantry and provide much-needed assistance to families through the holidays and beyond. The goal is to collect 3,500 items by December 31, 2024, to help knock out hunger in the community.
Running from October through December, this food drive offers everyone the opportunity to participate by donating shelf-stable, in-date food items. Donations can be dropped off directly at the Mount Sterling Community Center, located at 164 E. Main St., Mount Sterling, OH 43143. In addition to food donations, monetary donations are also welcomed for those who prefer to have the shopping done for them. The food pantry drive is crucial to supporting the local community, especially as the need for assistance continues to rise. The Mount Sterling Community Center has expressed deep gratitude for all donations received throughout the year, as well as the selfless work of volunteers who help stock, sort, and deliver food.
