Madison County Tigers Triumph at 2025 State Summer Games

Madison County Tigers
The Madison County Tigers delivered another standout performance at the 2025 State Summer Games, bringing home a long list of top finishes and showing outstanding sportsmanship and dedication.
​
Competing in Track & Field, Bocce, and Powerlifting, the Tigers represented Madison County with pride and earned top honors across multiple events. The group was coached by a dedicated team of local leaders and volunteers who helped guide the athletes to success.

🏃‍♂️ TRACK & FIELD
Under the leadership of Head Coach Caternina Pierce, the track team secured multiple first-place finishes, including:
  • John Pierce – 1st place in the 100m Run
  • Marlyn Zeeck – 1st place in the 100m Walk
  • Max Peters – 1st place in the 50m Run
  • Zach Samuel & DaLeion Fitzgerald – 1st place in Mini-Jav
  • 4x100m Relay Team – 2nd place (John, Richard, DaLeion, Zach)
Additional top placements were earned by Hunter Glass, Khloe Appleyard, Jacob Kellstadt, and others.

🥏 BOCCE
Coached by Billy Fuller and Lanelle Rockhold, the Tigers dominated in 2-person bocce with two 1st-place teams:
  • Shawn Stewart & Mike Williams – 1st place
  • Lupita Arriaga & Dominique Gonzalez – 1st place
Other medal-winning pairs included Nic Hickman & Brian Goff and Kendra Chapman & Keyaira Barnett, both finishing 2nd.

🏋️ POWERLIFTING
Powerlifters, under Head Coach Carrie Kuhn, showcased incredible strength and discipline:
  • Jacob Kuhn – 1st place in Bench, Deadlift, and Combination
  • Duncan Gholson – 1st place in Bench, Deadlift, and Combination
Scratches were noted for Cody Price and Landon Minor, but their teammates carried the torch with pride.

The Madison County Board of Developmental Disabilities celebrates the success and spirit of every athlete and coach involved. Their performance is a reflection of hard work, unity, and the enduring power of community support.
