Madison County Hosts Overdose Awareness Day on August 31st

​The Madison County Mental Health and Addiction Task Force invites the community to come together on August 31st for Overdose Awareness Day, a special event dedicated to remembering the lives lost due to overdose in Madison County. The event will take place at Cowling Park, located at 175 N Main Street, London, OH, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Overdose Awareness Day is an important opportunity for the community to reflect on the impact of the overdose crisis and to raise awareness about the resources available to prevent future tragedies. The event will feature a variety of activities, including:

​Food Trucks: Enjoy delicious food from local vendors.
Free Games: Fun activities for all ages to participate in.
Raffle Prizes: Enter for a chance to win exciting prizes.
Rock Painting: Express your creativity and contribute to a community art project.
Narcan Training: Learn how to administer Narcan, a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses.
Resource Tables: Access information on local support services and programs.

The event is a chance for the community to come together in solidarity, support those affected by addiction, and learn more about how to make a positive impact. Narcan training is particularly emphasized, as it equips attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.
