During the 2024-2025 school year, the London City School District continued to expand both the number of College Credit Plus classes it offers, the number of students participating, and the number of credits our students are earning. CCP courses are taught by London High School teachers and are fully articulated across all Ohio public institutions, giving students both college readiness and guaranteed credit that rankings fail to capture. This means that a Calculus I course taken at London High School transfers seamlessly as Calculus I to any public college or university in Ohio.
During the 2024–2025 school year, London High School offered 14 CCP courses on campus with 138 students taking at least one CCP course. Over the last two years alone, London students have earned more than 2,500 college credit hours through CCP. According to College Tuiton Compare, Ohio public universities charge an average of $345 per credit hour. This means London students and families have potentially saved an estimated $860,000 in tuition costs. Beyond the savings, CCP has opened doors to extraordinary milestones. Since 2023, London High School has celebrated five students who have received their Associate's Degree in advance of their graduation from London High School. These successes show how London City Schools is expanding opportunities for students and making college more affordable. The district expects the number of students participating in the CCP program to grow again this year. Not receiving our content regularly?
