London Florist Greenhouses & Garden Center Springs into the Season with Big Changes and New Ownership

​A fresh chapter is blooming at London Florist Greenhouses & Garden Center, one of the city’s longest-standing small businesses, as it kicks off the spring season with exciting upgrades, new programming, and a new family at the helm.

Now owned and operated by Hyrum and Tasha, who relocated to London last year with their three children, the business is embracing a renewed mission to grow

both plants and people. With backgrounds in education and a shared passion for gardening, the couple hopes to turn the beloved garden center into a true community hub.

“We’re striving to make London Florist & Garden Center your one-stop learning shop,” the owners shared in a recent Facebook post. “We’ll offer classes, workshops, and fun activities for both adults and kids.”

Originally established in 1910, the shop has been a local staple for more than a century. Under new ownership, it has undergone a thoughtful transformation, maintaining its signature charm while introducing modern touches such as:

• A brand-new deck
• Wider aisles for easier browsing
• Accessibility ramps
• Improved shopping carts
• A revamped garden center layout

And just in time for spring, the team is gearing up for a fun-filled Easter Week event, running from April 14–19, where they promise the “bunnies from your gardens” will be causing a little mischief inside the greenhouse and florist shop. More details will be announced soon, but hints suggest it will be a treat for families.

While construction has closed part of Main Street, the store is still easily accessible via High Street and Cherry Street or Midway (38).

With their updated slogan, “Where flowers speak louder than words,” London Florist Greenhouses & Garden Center continues to be a vibrant part of the city’s landscape — now with even more to offer.
