The idea for the project originated during the National FFA Convention in October 2023, where students participated in a "Book Pillows for Hope" activity. Inspired by the experience, members of the Ag Business class partnered with local seamstress Helen Studebaker to plan and execute the blanket-making project. The class successfully secured a $1,200 Living to Serve Grant from the National FFA Organization to fund the initiative.
Students meticulously measured, cut, and tied fleece material to create the blankets, which were then donated to Project Linus. Through their efforts, the London FFA made a meaningful impact on the lives of children in need and exemplified the FFA's mission of living to serve. This project not only benefited the community but also provided students with an opportunity to learn valuable skills and experience the rewards of giving back. Not receiving our content regularly?
