Humane Society of Madison County Announces Three Upcoming Community Events

The Humane Society of Madison County is inviting the community to take part in three exciting upcoming events that support local animals in need. From a lighthearted adoption campaign to a day on the golf course and a simple dine-out fundraiser, there are multiple ways for residents to get involved and make a difference.

First up is “Good Dogs, Bad Names,” a fun and heartwarming adoption initiative that puts a spotlight on some lovable dogs with hilariously unfortunate names. The campaign encourages families to “save a dog from a ridiculous name” and give them a fresh start in a forever home. 

Community members can view adoptable dogs and their creatively questionable names by visiting the shelter’s website.

Next, animal lovers and golf enthusiasts alike can participate in the 6th Annual HSMC Golf Outing, a fundraiser dedicated to supporting the shelter’s mission. This event offers a full day of golf, camaraderie, and community impact. Whether participants are seasoned golfers or just out for fun, every swing helps provide care and shelter for local animals.

Finally, supporters can enjoy a meal for a cause during the HSMC Dine 2 Donate at Wendy’s event. By simply dining at Wendy's and presenting a fundraising ticket, guests can ensure that 20% of their purchase goes directly to helping animals at the shelter. Tickets must be printed in advance from the organization’s website.
