Holy Week Schedule 2025 at London First United Methodist Church

The London First United Methodist Church has announced its schedule for Holy Week 2025, offering a series of meaningful services and events to commemorate the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church, located at 52 N. Main Street, invites the community to join in these sacred observances.

Maundy Thursday – April 17, 2025

• Self-Serve Communion: From 6 AM to 4 PM, the church will provide self-serve communion. This day marks the Last Supper of Jesus with His disciples, where He gave the new commandment to love one another as He loved them (John 13:34).

​Good Friday – April 18, 2025

• Good Friday Service: At 7 PM, the church will hold a solemn service to reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus. Through music and scripture, attendees will journey with Jesus from the garden to Calvary, contemplating His profound sacrifice.

Easter Sunday – April 20, 2025

• Easter Sunrise Service: At 7 AM, the IGNITE! Youth Group will present the Sunrise Service, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. This service aims to capture the joy and wonder experienced by those who first discovered the empty tomb.
• Sunrise Breakfast: Following the Sunrise Service, at 8 AM, all are welcome to a complimentary hot breakfast in the Fellowship Hall to "break the fast" together.
• Service of Easter Resurrection: At 10 AM, the church will host a powerful service of worship, scripture, and song, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, which is the cornerstone of the Christian faith.
