Grazing and Solar Power? Learn How Ohio Farmers Are Blending Both

Local residents are invited to learn more about the emerging practice of agrivoltaics at a free public event on Monday, April 28 at 6:00 p.m. at the Coughlin Community Center, located at the Madison County Fairgrounds, 205 Elm Street in London.

Titled “Discussing Agrivoltaics in Ohio,” the event will feature a panel of experienced Ohio farmers and industry professionals who are actively working at the intersection of agriculture and solar energy. Attendees will hear firsthand about real-world examples of agrivoltaics—where grazing and solar development work together to benefit both the land and energy production.

Panelists include:

• Brady Kirwan & Amanda Wilson, Ohio Solar Grazing
• Camren Mairele, Mairele Sheep Co. and Sustainability Director, American Lamb Board
• Sarah Moser, Savion Senior Director, Head of Farm Operations & Agrivoltaics

Panelists will share their insights on incorporating grazing practices into solar developments, along with the challenges, lessons learned, and the environmental and economic benefits of this innovative practice.

The event is hosted by Farm to Power and is open to the public. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.
