Former Madison County Fair Queen Hired as Outdoor Education Coordinator at Procter Summer Camp

​The Procter Center has welcomed Jacqui Lauer of London, Ohio, as its new Outdoor Education Coordinator for the upcoming Summer Camp season. A familiar face in Madison County, Jacqui is best known for serving as the 2021 Madison County Fair Queen, and she now brings her leadership and 4-H experience to an exciting new role focused on outdoor learning and youth engagement.

In her new position, Jacqui will oversee and lead a variety of outdoor programs,

including Farm Camp—a daily hands-on experience that connects campers with Procter’s working farm. She’ll also guide sessions in fishing, archery, and help coordinate the popular Conservation Family Camp.

Jacqui is no stranger to the Procter Center, having served as a summer camp counselor in 2023 and 2024. She has also contributed to curriculum development for these programs through a writing internship with the center. A current English major at Marietta College, Jacqui says she’s excited to share her love of the outdoors—especially her passion for farm animals—with campers and staff alike.

This summer, she looks forward to “engaging campers in a new way,” building meaningful connections while helping young people discover the natural world around them.
