Madison County residents now have access to the December 2025 edition of the MadisonConnect newsletter, offering a comprehensive look at transportation initiatives, safety updates, upcoming projects, and local events. The newsletter, produced by Madison County Mobility Management, outlines major developments designed to expand affordable and accessible transportation options countywide.

​One of the key highlights is the announcement of the next Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting, scheduled for January 12, 2026, at Madison County Job and Family Services. Community members are encouraged to attend and help finalize the county’s transportation goals for submission into the MORPC Regional Plan—a process that shapes funding and future mobility projects across the region (page 2).

The Village of Plain City is excited to announce the return of the Plain City Corn Carnival on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration marking the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

This special, one-time community event will celebrate Plain City’s deep agricultural roots and the important role corn has played in shaping both the village and the state of Ohio. The Corn Carnival will honor the traditions that helped grow Plain City while bringing residents and visitors together for a day of family-friendly fun in Uptown Plain City.​

Two young swimmers from London are making a name for themselves across the Greater Dayton YMCA Swim League. Elaina Harris, age 10, and her sister Emma Harris, age 8, both students at London Elementary School, delivered standout performances at the recent Springfield YMCA Swim Invitational—each earning High Point Winner honors for their age group.

Representing the Champaign County YMCA and the Madison County Marlins, the sisters demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and rapid improvement against strong regional competition.

The London High School Aqua Raiders turned in a strong performance on Wednesday night as Team Champ—a cooperative training group made up of swimmers from Graham, London, Mechanicsburg, Triad, Urbana, and West Liberty-Salem—competed at Trotwood-Madison High School in the December 10th edition of the Wednesday Night Series.

While Team Champ trains together at the Champaign Family YMCA, each swimmer represents their own school in competition. London’s athletes shined across multiple events, posting several top-five finishes and a strong team score.

The Madison County Arts Council is once again offering its annual holiday gift to the community with “Sounds of the Season,” a festive celebration of music set for Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

This year’s event will take place at First United Methodist Church, located at 52 North Main Street in London, Ohio—a historic and welcoming venue that has long been home to treasured community performances.
