In a heartfelt gesture of community unity and gratitude, Mayor of Plain City presented the Plain City Police Department with a scroll of appreciation at the recent council meeting on November 25th. The scroll, signed by members of the community, was collected by Mr. Danny Toops during the Miami Valley Steam Threshers Association show in July. This touching token of support underscores the strong bond between the residents and their local law enforcement officers.

Police Chief Dale McKee also contributed to the evening’s acts of kindness, presenting a special blanket to the Lewis Family on behalf of their nonprofit organization, Keith’s Comfort Blankets. The organization, created in memory of the Lewis family's son, provides blankets to families with babies in the NICU, offering warmth and comfort during challenging times.

The blanket was donated to the police department by a generous local company, and its presentation symbolizes the spirit of collaboration and care that defines Plain City. Mayor and community leaders encouraged residents to support Keith’s Comfort Blankets during the holiday season, spreading kindness and honoring the memory of the Lewis family’s son.

For more information about Keith’s Comfort Blankets or to contribute to their mission, visit their Facebook page and help bring a little extra comfort to families in need this season.

This council meeting served as a reminder of the power of community, compassion, and the shared dedication to making Plain City a wonderful place to live.
