Pickleball is gaining popularity across the country, and now kids in Plain City have a chance to join in on the fun. A new Plain City Kids Pickleball Club has launched this summer, offering a free and friendly way for children ages 8–12 to learn the game, get active, and build friendships.

The club meets every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Pastime Park Pickleball Courts and runs from June 12 through August 14. Please note, there will be no club meetings on July 3 or July 17.

Residents and visitors in Uptown Plain City will now see a powerful tribute lining the streets as part of the Plain City Military Heroes Banner Program. In partnership with American Legion Post 248, the Village has installed banners honoring twelve distinguished Veterans and Active Duty Service Members for the 2025 recognition cycle.

This marks the second year of the growing initiative, aimed at honoring those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces and who have resided in the Village of Plain City. The banners, now displayed throughout the Uptown District and along Village Boulevard, are a visual testament to Plain City’s commitment to remembering and celebrating its military community.
