Position Overview
Madison-Champaign ESC is seeking a compassionate and committed Paraprofessional to assist in a middle school classroom environment. This position involves supporting the teacher, supervising students, and providing a positive, nurturing presence—especially for students with behavioral needs.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a servant-hearted leadership style and a passion for helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with instruction and daily activities
• Supervise middle school students in both classroom and non-classroom settings
• Provide consistent support and positive guidance to students
• Work closely with students who may exhibit intensive behavioral needs
• Help maintain an encouraging, safe, and structured learning environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid ODE Aide Permit (may be obtained after selection)
• Experience working with students with behavioral challenges preferred
• Successful completion of a BCI/FBI background check, including fingerprints
• Strong communication skills, patience, and teamwork abilities
