Madison County Family and Children First Council seeking a Council Coordinator

The Madison County Family and Children First Council (Council) is seeking for a Council Coordinator.  This position is for an individual who would like to make a difference in the lives of families with children birth to 18 in Madison County.  The Family and Children First Council Coordinator (Council Coordinator) is responsible for: 

• Serving as Coordinator of Council to ensure meetings are scheduled, agendas prepared, and relevant information distributed. 

• Providing leadership and direction in the development of short- and long-term plans for the Council.  

• Managing and supervising operations to achieve goals and objectives established by the Council. 

• Assuring that appropriate governance of the Council occurs as described in ORC. 

• Developing and/or supporting community initiatives which strengthen families and youth in Madison County. 

• Serving as a liaison with other county agencies to reduce duplication of service and to maximize the services available within Madison County. 

• Recruiting and supporting parents to be active contributing members of the Council and to be involved in key decision making. 

• Researching and applying for grant funding which supports the Council’s initiatives. 

• Supervising other Council hired staff who provide direct services to youth and families. 

• Serving as the liaison between the County Commissioners, the Council Executive Committee, Madison County Department of Family and Children, the Ohio Family and Children First Council, and other state and local agencies and organizations.
