The Jefferson Local School District has officially begun the search for its next superintendent following a meeting with the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) on October 8, 2024. The district is working closely with OSBA consultant Teri Morgan to lead the search process and attract qualified candidates from across the state and nationwide.
The position has been posted, and applications will be accepted until Friday, January 31, 2025. Following a thorough review process, which will include professional screenings, interviews, and extensive reference checks, the district’s Board of Education aims to announce the new superintendent by Spring 2025. To ensure the community’s voice is heard during this important transition, the board will host a focus group session on January 23, 2025. This session will provide an opportunity for community members and district stakeholders to offer input on the selection process. More details on this event will be shared in the coming weeks. The search for a new superintendent follows the announcement of Mr. William Mullett’s decision to step down after 25 years of service. The Board of Education expressed its gratitude to Mr. Mullett for his leadership and dedication, highlighting the numerous achievements the district has made during his tenure. Board President Whitney Duemmel, on behalf of the board, extended heartfelt thanks to Mr. Mullett, acknowledging his impactful contributions to the district. The Jefferson Local School District remains committed to continuing its mission of educating children as its top priority. The district looks forward to finding a leader who will uphold this commitment and build on the progress made under Mr. Mullett's leadership. The organization is looking to add an additional Therapist to see adults to our established team of other Therapists and Behavioral Health Specialists. Primary duties would include – develop, implement, and administer treatment plans, perform diagnostic assessments, consult with the primary care team or treating Psychiatrist, conduct family counseling and education, and participate in formal and informal clinical supervision sessions. The organization is looking to add a Psychiatric Registered Nurse to assist the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at the London OH location. This individual makes nursing diagnosis of the medical and emotional status of patients and consults with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for the clients.
